No Doubt or bust: The Finale of OC’s Ska Waves.
Sadly, the notoriety of Orange County Ska will die with No Doubt’s next studio release. Yes, I believe that No Doubt’s next album (most likely their last) will be almost completely devoid of ska. And, no, ska guitar riffs, and occasional horns don’t count as a Ska album or even a ska influenced album.
I truly wish No Doubt proves me wrong…
In the meantime, here are the 3 best SKA bands from OC
(these are not my videos)
3rd Place
Nuckle Brothers
Of the many times seeing them, most awesome moment was seeing them in the middle of the day at a show in Huntington Beach…or it could have been Garbage Grove…all I know it was daylight and I was floating on the crowd of like 20 people. Small shows, the best.
2nd place
Suburban Rhythm.
NOT Suburban Legends, you faggy 4th wave fag
Was there a more awesome place in OC for ska shows than Old World in HB?
2nd place tie
I.E. but O.C.
Me and my friends drove to Riverside for shows several times, and my sister got her first ska pit stomping at their show at OLD WORLD IN HB in 93.
VOODOO GLOW SKULLS
1st Place
No Doubt
